Remote your RS-485 or RS-422 device

WILDR-MIU provides wireless RS-485 / RS-422 interface ports for applications that require wireless connectivity. These interfaces are capable of speeds ranging from 4.8 to 115.2 Kbps. WILDR radio has a range of 1.5 kilometers (about 1-mile) outdoors. WILDR family is FCC certified. As shown in the figure, the RS-485/RS-422 is a [3-position RS-485, 5-position RS-422] screw-down terminal block connector. Click on the link for a short overview of Serial Multidrop Bus Protocol.
RS-485 interface is of particular interest as a number of Access Control System manufacturers use it to communicate between the server and the Access panels.
Wireless RS-485 OR RS-422 INTERFACE A PC/laptop running a serial communication program such as Source Forge RealTerm [download] is connected to the console port via a serial cable, or a USB to DB-9 cable (provided) for initial radio configuration. The Console port is used to configure the radio parameters such as frequency channel, data rate, and interface. There are a variety of tools built-in the firmware to assist in configuring the radio in the field. These tools include measuring RF channel noise so the installer can select a clean channel, and transmiting a constant modulated carrier to facilitate range-finding.
Each data packet is encrypted. For added security, there is also a three-character code selected by the user that makes the encryption specific to the site. This feature prohibits radios from other sites to function in your site.
The radio is supplied with complete documentation including a quick-start, and a user reference manual. For more information and the radio specification please see the Resources tab. For Pricing schedule click here, or see Pricing under the contact tab.
